Comprehensive Street Maintenance Plan Phase 1

DATES: - Dec 25, 2025

The City of Bryant is committed to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for all residents, businesses, and visitors. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve streets, sidewalks, intersections, and other transportation infrastructure, we are seeking your input on areas within the city that need attention. This survey is designed to help us identify problem areas—such as traffic congestion, roadway conditions, pedestrian safety, bike accessibility, and other transportation challenges. Your feedback will guide city leaders and planners as we prioritize improvements and develop long-term solutions for Bryant’s transportation network. We encourage all residents to share their experiences and concerns. If you encounter multiple issues across different areas of the city, you may complete the survey as many times as needed to report each concern. By participating, you are helping us build a safer, stronger, and more connected community.

Bryant Comprehensive Street Maintenance Plan

Phase I Project Narrative (June – December 2025)

The Bryant Comprehensive Street Maintenance Plan is a structured, multi-phase initiative aimed at improving street infrastructure through research, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and strategic planning. Phase I spans from late May to December 2025 and includes four major task categories:

Task 1: Background Research

Duration: May 29 – July 30, 2025

This phase kicks off with foundational research:

  • Task 1.1 focuses on reviewing existing resources to establish baseline data.

  • Task 1.2, a one-day training on the Pavement Data Viewer, occurs mid-June.

  • Task 1.3 identifies upcoming projects to inform future street maintenance priorities.

Task 2: Stakeholder Engagement

Duration: July 14 – August 28, 2025

Engagement efforts begin mid-July to ensure community and agency input:

  • Task 2.1 involves interviews with municipal representatives from Benton, Saline County, ARDOT, and Alexander.

  • Task 2.2 includes targeted discussions with stakeholders such as real estate professionals, chamber representatives, and home builders.

  • Concurrently, a GIS survey and questionnaire (Task 2.3.4) is conducted from June to mid-August to gather broad feedback and geographic insights.

Task 3: Data Collection

Duration: June 11 – December 1, 2025

A robust data collection effort runs through most of the year:

  • Task 3.1.3.3 begins in June, focusing on GIS-based street data and street identification.

  • Task 3.4 (October–November) involves fieldwork including site visits and measurements.

  • Task 3.5, completed in November, compiles this information into summary reports that will guide strategic decisions.

Task 4: Project Management

Duration: June 18 – December 18, 2025

Ongoing project oversight and administrative milestones ensure smooth execution:

  • Task 4.1 involves monthly meetings, ensuring consistent updates and communication with stakeholders.

  • Task 4.3, the development of the 2026 Project Budget, spans from late May through the end of July.

  • Task 4.4, the final Phase I wrap-up meeting, occurs in December to review findings and prepare for the next phase.

Project Milestones

  • Notice to Proceed: May 29, 2025

  • 2026 Budget Due: July 31, 2025

  • Phase I Completion: December 25, 2025

This structured timeline reflects a coordinated approach to understanding and addressing the City of Bryant’s street maintenance needs. By combining technical data with local insight, the plan ensures that future infrastructure investments are informed, efficient, and community-driven.
