Welcome to my new blog!
The past weekend was a very busy weekend for the City of Bryant! Our Dumpster Days program gathered more trash than ever before, filling three entire dumpsters with junk. That is a lot of trash gone from our community. Our first ever Bryant Flash Trails at Hill Farm Elementary exceeded all of expectations. Trail blazers poured mulch and smoothed it out to create a beautiful walking trail. But that’s not all...
Bryant Parks and Recreation partnered with “All in Multisport”, Central Arkansas’ largest triathlon club, to put on the first ever “AIM High in Bryant” Triathlon. The event began at 6:30 a.m. at the Bishop Park Aquatic Center and included a 400 yard pool swim, a 13 mile bike ride around the Bryant community, and concluded with a 3.1 mile run with an exciting finish back in Bishop Park. Of the 87 participants, over half had never been in a triathlon before. Great job!
On Sunday, the Bryant Historical Society hosted a historical tour of the city. The tour was self-guided, walking or driving, with historical information on 23 locations. Almost 40 citizens enjoyed this glimpse into Bryant’s proud beginnings.
