Bryant Parks Covid19 Information
The Bryant Parks Department is putting a plan in place, based on current recommendations from the Governor’s office and the CDC, of a tentative partial re-opening of the community center at Bishop Park.
“The Center at Bishop Park does not fit into an exact model of a gym or weightlifting facility that is being referenced in the Phase 1 recommendations by the Governor, states Mayor Allen Scott. This community center serves as a hub for both recreation and meetings in our city. The health and safety of our community members remain our top priority, and must be considered as we evaluate the implementation of re-opening”.
In an effort to safely implement these recommendations to our members, we have set atentative re-open date of May 22nd.
This opening will not be a full service reopen, will be limited to members only, and is dependent on the arrival of the required PPE and sanitation supplies for our staff members and facility.
“We take the responsibility of reopening our facilities very seriously. With the wide demographic of residents that utilize the center, our focus is to ensure we are balancing the services we provide to the community, while at the same time safeguarding those customers or staff that are most vulnerable” added Bryant Parks Director, Chris Treat.
Members will not be billed a membership fee for the month of May.
Please check back, as we will keep the community updated via this page.
All Parks offices will remain closed to the public.
The Parks Department will be following CDC and local Health department guidelines when determining the reopening of these amenities or fields.
These dates are subject to change.
Public restrooms will remain closed.
social distancing and mask guidlines must be followed.
