Chief J.P. Jordan



Chief Jordan began his career in the fire service at the Conway Fire Department in 1998 as a Firefighter/EMT. In 2001 he began work for the Stuttgart Fire Department and was promoted to Fire Chief there in 2003. He served as Fire Chief there until August 20 2012 when he was appointed Fire Chief of the Bryant Fire Department. Chief Jordan holds numerous certifications from the National Fire academy, the Arkansas Fire Academy, The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, The Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas Department of Emergency management and FEMA. He also served as an Administrative Specialists in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Chief Jordan serves as the Chairman of the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board and as a Regional Director for the Arkansas Association of Fire Chiefs. He has an Associate’s degree in Fire and Emergency response, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis in Fire Administration and his Master’s degree in Emergency Services Management.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family that includes his wife Kandy and his two daughters Ashlyn and Anna Kate, cooking and hunting.
